Come and explore the Finnish nature with us! Polut ja laavut tutuiksi – events are trips to different nature attractions. These events are annual and take part every summer for free of charge! This time our nature trip will take us to Ruutana, which is a small and beautiful wilderness lake in Lestijärvi. Ruutana is also part of the larger, 115 kilometres long nature trail called Peuran polku. There will be both Finnish and English speaking guides on our tour.
We will leave together with a car to Ruutana at 17:40 from in front of Lestijärvi municipality office. The address is Lestintie 39, 69440, Lestijärvi. We will drive closer to Ruutana and walk the rest of the way to the Ruutana lake, where where is also a shelter and a fire place. The walk is about 0,6 kilometers. Once we get to Ruutana, we will have a snack break and if the fire warnings allow, make a fire. Remember to dress according to the weather.
