Lestijärvi – Experience nature
Lestijärvi is the second smallest municipality in mainland-Finland in Central Ostrobothnia. The beautiful nature in Lestijärvi offers a wide spectrum of opportunities for all kinds of activities. Peuran polku – Deer´s trail
Lestijärvi is one of the towns that are a part of the marked nature trail network called Peuran polku. There are 115 kilometres of routes in total and the routes go through seven towns and are clearly marked all the way. The trail name, Peuran Polku, means deer’s trail and the name comes from the vast population of the rare Finnish forest reindeer in the area. The Finnish forest reindeer is only one of the many animals you can encounter on the way.

There are numerous cottages available for renting or if you have a tent or a caravan, you can choose to camp at one of the two campsites in Lestijärvi. There are many activities available and you can book guided tours to see the wilderness or rent a stand-up paddle board from the library and spend the day at the lake. This activity is especially memorable during the summer because of the midnight sun so you can paddle on the calm lake watching the sun set and then rise just a few hours later.

Midsummer is the festival of the midnight sun and is often celebrated together with your friends and family.
